- By signing this form I confirm that I will follow the Respect Code of Conduct and agree to fully cooperate and accept any disciplinary actions which may be brought against me due to my behavior during a match (Red or Yellow cards). This could result in fines and / or match bans.
- I will treat all players, teammates, coaches, administration, officials and opponents with dignity and respect.
- I will wear shin pads to training and to matches. (Unfortunately, we will have to turn players away who arrive without the correct safety wear as child safety is paramount).
- I will remember that I am representing Eldwick Juniors at both training sessions and at matches and will ensure that I do nothing to damage the reputation of the friendly, sportsmanlike and inclusive club we are.
- All players, regardless of ability and/or playing time are equal members of the Team. Each and every player will treat all teammates with acceptance and respect.
- Players will be placed in the appropriate team based on their ability, but will be constantly monitored and assessed to ensure they are developed in terms of progression. This is so that we can enter teams in leagues which contain matched ability levels to help with development.
- I will be on time for training sessions and for matches and I am aware that consistent lateness or absence may affect my position in the selection process.
- I will bring refreshments to training and keep them safe and close by.
- I will ensure that the facilities we are using are left tidy.
- To ensure children receive an equal chance, regardless of ability.
- To provide a positive and safe learning environment in which children can develop football skills.
- To ensure the children have fun, enjoy themselves and develop a love for football.
- To develop both the social and technical skills of the children.
- To develop the skills of all the coaching staff on a continual basis to ensure we provide the best coaching possible, always embracing new techniques.
- To provide our teams with the best facilities and equipment available.
- We are approachable and friendly.
- All coaches are CRB Checked and have completed the Child Safeguarding courses available to coaches.
- We will provide positive feedback, encouragement and emphasise teamwork.
- We will give every player who has paid their subs and is registered with the league as much playing time as possible.
- We will communicate kick off times, locations and appropriate kit requirements (boots/astro trainers etc) prior to match day through our Facebook page or directly with the parent/guardian.
- We will try to notify you of any cancellations as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary travel.
- Players will be placed in the appropriate team based on their ability, but will be constantly monitored to ensure they are developed in terms of progression.
- Remember that you are also representing Eldwick Juniors.
- Ensure that yearly subscription fees are paid in advance (or other arrangements have been made).
- Ensure that your child is wearing shin pads to training and to matches. (Unfortunately, we will have to turn players away who arrive without the correct safety wear, child safety is paramount).
- Remember that the coaches are volunteers who give up their time for FREE.
- Play a part and observe the FA’s Respect Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
- Applaud effort and good play as well as success.
- Remain outside the field of play both at training sessions or at matches and within any designated spectator area.
- Let the coaches do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do by giving conflicting instructions.
- Always respect the match officials’ decisions, they too are volunteers.
- Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake – mistakes are part of learning.
- Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, racist, sexist or abusive behavior.
- Understand & accept the Rules & Regulations of the Club.
- Always behave in a sporting, friendly & acceptable manner, presenting a good and proper example to all players.
- Please seek permission before taking any form of photography from the coaches. In turn, please highlight to the coaches if you have any express wishes for your child to NOT be captured in any imagery.
- Understand that breaches of the code may result in action being taken by the Club, County FA, League or The FA.
- Coaches must be informed of any illness, health issue or injury prior to each session so that we can ensure the safeguarding of players.
- Players are the responsibility of their parents until training or matches begin and end.
- Should you have anything you wish to discuss with the coaches, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with something, please contact one of the coaches on the Monday following match day. Please do not approach sensitive subjects on the training or playing field. We are focused on keeping a positive, friendly environment for the kids so please respect this.
